Terms of Service

Welcome to Make It Work STL, the after-hours technology service division of JrgTechAdvisors. By scheduling an appointment or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Service Scope
Residential Services ($100 Flat Rate)
- Covers ONE issue per visit
- Up to 90 minutes of service time included
- Includes: computer repair, virus removal, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, printer setup, device setup, smart home configuration, and general tech support
- TV mounting, multi-issue visits, and advanced installations are quoted separately
Business Services ($150 Flat Rate)
- Up to 90 minutes of service time included
- Includes: server maintenance, network troubleshooting, workstation setup, security support, and business software integration
Additional Work
If additional work is identified during a service visit that falls outside the original scope, we will explain the situation and provide pricing before proceeding. You are never obligated to approve additional work, and we will not perform it without your consent.
2. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of service. We do not require upfront payment for standard residential or business services.

- Digital payments: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Zelle, Cash App, Venmo, and more
3. No-Fix, No-Fee Guarantee
If we cannot find a solution or provide a clear diagnosis for your tech issue, you don't pay. This guarantee reflects our commitment to delivering real value.
Important: A successful diagnosis that identifies the need for a part replacement, hardware upgrade, or specialized repair counts as a completed service. In such cases, the service fee applies even if the physical repair requires additional parts or follow-up work.
4. Diagnostic & Travel Fee
A $50 diagnostic and travel fee may apply in the following situations:
- The technician arrives on-site but cannot complete the service due to incompatible or incorrect hardware provided by the client
- The service is cancelled upon the technician's arrival
- The client is not present or available at the scheduled appointment time
This fee covers the technician's time and travel expenses when a service visit cannot be completed through no fault of Make It Work STL.
5. Travel Fee Zones
Our service area extends up to 50 miles from our base in Fairview Heights, IL. Travel fees are based on distance:
- Zone A (0-20 miles): No travel fee
- Zone B (20-30 miles): $20 travel fee
- Zone C (30-40 miles): $40 travel fee
- Zone D (40-50 miles): $60 travel fee

6. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans change. Please provide at least 2 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Appointments missed without notice or cancelled with less than 2 hours' notice may be subject to a missed-appointment fee to cover reserved time and travel expenses.
Our goal is fairness and flexibility while respecting everyone's time.
7. Service Hours
Make It Work STL is an after-hours service. We are available during the following times:
- Monday - Friday: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM
- Saturday: Closed
- Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Remote support may be available outside these hours by special arrangement.
8. Warranty & Liability
We stand behind our work. If an issue we resolved recurs within 7 days of service and is directly related to our original work, we will return to address it at no additional charge.
Make It Work STL is not liable for:
- Pre-existing hardware failures or defects
- Data loss (we recommend backing up important files before service)
- Software licensing issues or compatibility problems with third-party software
- Issues caused by user actions after service completion
9. Privacy & Data Handling
We respect your privacy. Any personal data encountered during service (files, passwords, accounts) is treated as confidential. We do not copy, share, or retain your personal data beyond what is necessary to complete the requested service.
